Bought the Hotpoint gas range RGAS300DMWW in PC Richards in Brooklyn NY, and it was delivered and installed on the same day, 1/15/26. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT WITH THIS PRODUCT. I'll put aside other poor design aspects for now, will focus on just 2 major ones: the unsafe grates and the oven. So, first, the grates. The coating on them is something that looks like enamel (can't remember the correct name for it which I saw in one of the reviews, but the name is not the point) and they are slippery and flimsy in a way that pots are sliding and about to fall off the stove top. My stove came with 1 of the grates being not evenly aligned and a pot, when placed on the stove, wobbles. This is obviously a defect, and PC Richards kind of agreed to replace my grate (well...say" kind of", as they are making me come to the store and bring the defective one, to perhaps get a replacement... This trip to the store represents time and cost for me, for no fault of mine). In any event, focusing on the manufacturing itself: even if the grate is replaced, it will not solve for the original design flaw: the grates are made of material/coated with material not suitable. Other manufacturers don™™t have this problem. As such, I had Avanti Elite series range and the grates were just excellent: continues, strong, study stable! Hotpoint grates are the opposite of all these. With Hotpoint, having hot food or liquid in such unstable position represents a safety hazard: when pots are placed on the front burners, I get a feeling it's about to slip off from the stove onto my legs! My QUESTION AND A POINT to the manufacturer and Hotpoint Management: why are you NOT listening to feedback from customers? I've read tru hundreds of reviews on this stove that date back from 7 years ago till these days - and every 4th or 5th customer mentions this issue with the grates. I saw replies posted online from Hotpoint and GE reps thanking customers for the feedback and they state they collect feedback to work on making improvements to their products. PATHETIC! 7 years? How many years, GE, HOW MANY YEARS DO YOU NEED TO HEAR THE SAME COMPLAINT OVER AND OVER AGAIN to redesign your grates??????? Grates - is this a rocket science? Shame on you, Management! By now, you should have come up with a new version of the grates and should be shipping them to your buyers free of charge! (this is if you care and stand behind your words that you post on-line!) I would be glad to BUY an improved version of the grates if you were offering them for purchase. I am so irritated by this basic feature of teh stove, that I do not even want to go to the oven issue. My every day now starts with irritation while making coffee, as my small coffee pot is barely standing on the grates. (the holes above burners are too large - not designed for small coffee pots) . I have to watch out for my coffee... In any case, the oven is another issue, but will see if writing feedback makes any difference. Why even bother to write. ? The only normal thing about this stove is that the flames in the burners ignite quickly, and the igniter noises stop right after you turn the knob away from the LITE position. This is how it is supposed to be, and it is the base of functionality. So I won't give this stove more stars because all the rest (including a huge inconvenience of having a broiler at the bottom) - all the rest is just a pure frustration. I have not used the broiler (not looking forward to it due to this design), and the issue with the oven might still be resolved - I'll see what PC Richards says. Won't come to quick conclusions just yet. Just being fair.

Range knobs are badly misaligned to burner heat scale on faceplate. at least 3/8 off center from the hole provided for them. Had to return first unit as three were off and one was in proper location, second unit, the one I kept all four are misaligned. Appears either the components (burner valves) are not consistent, or assembly procedures are non-existent. Face of broiler door is crooked and appears to have a screw not tightened down in an inaccessible position. Oven bottom is warped before firing stove, appears it may pop out of restraining slot in time. Oven temp knob feels weak when adjusting temperature. Stuck inch ranges. with it, limited choices in 24

I'm so happy with my new Hotpoint stove. I've had it over a month or so and it fits so well with my cabin size kitchen. Love that there's no pilot lights to eat up my propane and the oven is big and the fact that it has a broiler too is great. ð™ï¸™ºï¸

The guys were great. The plumber was fantastic, and the delivery men were also fantastic. Everyone worked together, calmly, and efficiently. Anything that was a problem was handled and solved. I also participated, but tried not to get in the way. It is important to have all things ready, as the Home Depot outlined in their messages. Slick little stove fitting tiny kitchen well. Nice even flames on stove top. 3 pizzas were beautifully baked separately on 3 diff days with a little finesse on temperature (not a big deal since zas were hand made.) The interior oven light & glass front window made observation a breeze. Nice little apartment stove. Recommend to anyone with very small kitchen space.

I replaced a "modern" Whirlpool with a simple, somewhat plain-looking Hotpoint. But my Hotpoint may appear old fashion as it doesn't have all those fancy buttons the Whirlpool has, such as a "pizza" button, or a "timer" to roast a large piece of meat, what it does have is four knobs for top burners and an oven knob.
In other words my Hotpoint has everything I need and nothing I don't And its first big test came just a few weeks ago when I baked 20 loaves of pumpkin walnut bread and the walls along both sides remained fairly warm but not hot, which is why I bought it and got rid of the Whirlpool.

The range is a perfect size for a small ™Galley™ type kitchen and the large window is a plus. It took a while to get used to the ™raised™ burners, felt too slippery; but have adjusted to the lack of resistance I was used to. The main complaint is that the oven temperature is not accurate. A GE technician checked the sensor and determined that replacing it would probably result in the same issue. Considering the cost of the appliance and instillation I have decided to adjust my cooking methods. Could be worse.

This was the second one delivered, because the first one came damaged from the warehouse which was very inconvenient in many ways. The second delivery also had a very tiny chip on the stove but I received it. A simple stove deli turned into a month without a stove

The stove was a replacement for my ancient stove in a rental apartment. The stove was easy to set up, overseen by the building super, and all functions were readily understood. Have been happily cooking ever since. Did take a few attempts to get confident with oven as first attempt caused some brief smoking/burn off. After checking that all packing materials were remove, they were, and no debris was on burner, second attempt proved a charm and oven works great. I do wish the grills for the top burners were a bit lower and not so slippery, but otherwise great stove.
